Pairing a Printer to a Handheld

Modified on Tue, Oct 22, 2024 at 1:50 PM

  1. Confirm that Bluetooth and WIFI are enabled on your handheld.
  2. Open the Booklink app and tap Tools > System Settings.

  3. Tap "Connect Device" and then "Scan for Devices".

  4. Find your printer on the list and tap on it. (If you don't know your printer's number, check the label on it.) The Bluetooth Pairing Request window will pop up. Press the Pair Button.

  5. On the printer you will see a popup asking you to Accept the pairing request. Press the physical button below the word "Accept" on the screen. (This is time sensitive -- it will go away if you do not accept it within several seconds. Then you will need to restart the process.)
  6. After successfully pairing, you should see a blue bar at the top of the HH screen that says your device is connected. To confirm that you can print, save your changes and return to the home screen in Booklink. Select Tools > Print Blank Invoice. An invoice should print out of the printer.

Troubleshooting

  1. If you can not pair your handheld with the printer, try closing the Booklink app, and turning off bluetooth and wifi (see step one above). Then turn Bluetooth and wifi on, and reopen the Booklink app again. Try pairing now.

  2. Push and hold the feed button (on the front of the printer beside the power button) until the Bluetooth icon on the printer starts blinking. Then press the pair button in Booklink on the handheld to attempt pairing the devices.

  3. Reach out to IT at support@choicebooks.com describing what you tried, and the problem you are having.
