Multi Factor Authentication or MFA is now required on all Choice Books accounts. You will need to configure this the first time you sign into your account.
For situations where a mobile device has not been provided by Choice Books, and the user prefers not to download the MS Authenticator device on his personal phone, there is an alternative method provided. You can read details about that here.
1. Open Google Play Store (or Apple Store on iPhones) and install or update to the latest version of Microsoft Authenticator app.
2. Open a browser on your phone and navigate to https://aka.ms/mfasetup/. Sign in with your user credentials.
3. You will now see a page that says more information is required. Tap next.
4. The next screen says you need MS Authenticator. Press Next.
5. On this screen, do not press next, yet. Instead press "Pair your account to the app by clicking this link." This will open the MS Authenticator app.
6. Using your PIN or fingerprint to open MS Authenticator. You should see an "Account Added Successfully" message.
7. Go back to the browser, and click the "Next" button pictured in step 5.
8. You will now receive a notification from the Authenticator app asking you to approve the sign in. The notification appears briefly at the top of the screen. If it disappears before you tap it, you can find it in the notification tray by swiping down from the top of your phone screen. Note the bold number in the center of the screen before approving the sign in. You will need to enter this number in Authenticator to authenticate your sign-in attempt.
9. Enter the number shown into the blue box and press "Yes".
10. Now for a final verification that you want to use Authenticator. Press Next.
11. And finally... success! MFA is configured. Press Done.
