How To Close A Store In Case of Fire/Flood, etc.

Modified on Tue, Sep 20, 2022 at 10:11 AM

In cases of flood, fire, etc, it may be necessary to close a store in BookLink without the normal workflow of issuing a pull invoice, etc. Note: In cases of a Scan Based Trading store, the store inventory must be printed off and provided to the accounting department so that they can process the write-off of inventory.

Pull up the store in BookLink, and take the following steps.

  1. Switch to the Displays tab. Select the active display, then right click on it, and select Details.
  2. In Display Details screen, click the Close Display button.
  3. Enter an appropriate Close Date, and uncheck the "Show Display Items as Sold From Display" checkbox.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Repeat the above steps for each Active display.
  6. On the Stores screen, switch to the General tab, click Edit.
  7. Set the Status to Inactive, and enter an appropriate Removed date.
  8. Click Save.
