Servicing Rules

Modified on Mon, Sep 19, 2022 at 12:58 PM

Overview

Servicing Rules can be used to block books from use in specific locations or by specific reps or to remind service reps of more general information for specific locations.

Books can be blocked based on the following:

A block will force the service rep to credit out any blocked books when servicing a display.

Notes can be made to display on the handheld when a specific book is scanned in New Titles or Inventory Display. Notes are informational only and do not force an action by the service rep.

Reminders can be created to display on the handheld as soon as the service rep logs in to a store. Reminders are also informational only and do not force an action by the service rep.

NOTE: Changing or adding servicing rules can take up to a day to synchronize through BookLink and Central Database.

Details

Servicing rules are found in BookLink in the Books window under the Servicing Rules tab and can be added by pressing the Add Rule button.
