When you connect phones and tablets to CBNVA hotspots, auto-updating of apps should be disabled to prevent excess data usage and overage fees.

To disable auto app updating on Android:

  • Open the Google Play Store
  • Press the menu option (in the top left corner, the three lines in the search bar)
  • Press the Settings option
  • Press the Auto-update apps option
  • Select the Do not auto-update apps option

To disable auto app updating on iPhone and iPad

  • On your iPhone/iPad, open Settings
  • Scroll down to and press iTunes & App Store
  • In the Automatic Downloads section turn off Music, Apps, Books, and Updates
