Google Calendar Sharing

Google tools must be used with the Choice Books GSuite Google Workspace accounts, not personal Gmail accounts (@gmail.com, etc). Any violations of this will likely result in the unexpected removal of such accounts.

All Choice Books employees have a Google account that uses their Choice Books email address and the same password as BookLink, etc.

Share a Calendar

Go to https://gsuite.google.com/dashboard and click on the Calendar icon




Click on the three dots beside the calendar you want to share and open the Settings and Sharing








You can click the Create Shareable Link button to email an invitation to multiple people simultaneously OR you can invite people one-by one using the Add People button.



Using Shareable Link

Click the Get Shareable Link button, copy the link and paste it into an email that you send to the people you want to have access




Adding Specific People

You can share with specific people (they will get an invitation email from Google Calendar) by clicking the Add People button and entering their email address





Add a Shared Google Calendar to Your Account/Phone


To add a shared Google Calendar to you phone (Android or iOS) you need to first add the shared calendar to your account in a web browser, then you can see it in your Phone app.


Sign in to calendar.google.com using your @nva.choicebooks.org email address and password.


Open the invitation link you received:




Click the Add button that pops up in the browser:



The shared calendar is now visible in the left side pane of Google Maps:



Now open the Google Calendar app on your Phone.



On iPhone 

In the top left corner of the app, poke the three line menu, 

scroll down to the list of your nva.choicebooks.org calendars and

check the box for the new shared calendar.

In the top left corner of the app, poke the three line menu, 

scroll down to Settings,

poke the calendar name 

and slide the sync switch on:
